These were our pumpkins this year, that they carved at my mom's house, especially with Auntie Kait and Auntie Aimee, so they were all the more special! Micah wanted a "scary bat" and Jade wanted a "happy ghost". They loved how happy and scary their pumpkins were!
This year Micah was a Knight in Shining Armor. My sweet sister, Aimee brought the costume home for Micah from England. She was doing study abroad there this summer. He loved it! Jade then decided that she also wanted to be a Knight in Shining Armor. I tried to convince her to be a Princess in Shining Armor, but she wasn't buying it. When we brought out the costume box, she found he Lady Bug costume from last year and decided, if she could be a real Knight, she would only be a Lady Bug. No matter how hard I tried to get her to be something else! She loved the wings! And so for the second year in a row...our Jadey Bug was a Lady Bug!
Here she is last year...she is getting so big!
Micah loved his sword! I love his sweet face in this shot!
We were about to head off to our church Halloween Extravaganza and so I was taking a few pictures of the kiddos in their costumes and out walks my bazaar and crazy husband in his "purple pants"! We love the purple pants! He has had those since high school and pulls them out every now and then and I have to say, I kind of love them...is that weird? Well, Mitch is not a dress up kind of guy. It is like pulling teeth trying to get him to dress up...except when it comes to the purple pants! Well, I had no idea that he was dressing up too. So, when he walked out dressed like that, it gave me the green light to dress up too...what was I? A 20's flapper...a dress I got for $5 at H&M for any time I ever need a costume! The kids were so shocked to see Mitch like that they just kept staring at him! It was pretty funny. Then, as we are driving to the party, I mentioned that it was a combined 5 ward party and Mitch's face dropped! He thought it would just be our small ward...he almost turned around and then decided that he didn't care, he would don the pants anyway and he did!
Definately the highlight of the party for the kids was the bouncy slide! Here they are going with Mitch's brother Blake and sister, Bree!
Since Halloween was on Sunday this year, we decided to stay in and have a fun family dinner of delicious Green Goblin Pasta! And the kids got to hand out the candy! They loved it! It was so cute, they just sat by the door and waited impatiently for the next trick-or-treater! Jade kept walking outside and yelling in her shrieky voice to kids that she saw across the street or down the street, "kids, I have candy, kids come to my house!" It was so funny! We went to lots of fun parties and had a very Happy Halloween this year!
