The Pumpkin Party!

We had the greatest time at Brittany and Derek's Pumpkin Carving Party this year!  There was good friends, chili & cornbread, scary music and of coarse, pumpkin carving!  Thanks so much for a fun party!

We decided to do Mickey Mouse this year and you can't see it as well, but we have more pictures of the kids at home with the pumpkin, but needless to say, Micah is 100 % obsessed with his Mickey Pumpkin and talks about it all day long and has to light it every night!

I've Been Tagged...

By one of my favorite people ever, Deb Speed!

So, six "unspectacular quirks" of mine are:

1. It takes me FOREVER to make chocolate chip cookies because I have to have each cookie dough ball have the exact same amount of chocolate chips. And also after they come out of the oven I have to place the same amount, usually 3 chips, on the top of each cookie. That makes them look perfect and delicious. The reason why they all have to be the same is because I want them to look equally as enticing so someone doesn't feel bummed that they got a worse cookie than the others.....I know no one cares or notices but I absolutely cannot make cookies any other way! (Writing these things out makes me feel even crazier!)

2. I recently realized that every night in order to fall asleep in my bed I have to count in my head...I count until I fall asleep! Every night without fail!!!

3. This one might be the most embarrassing, but some of you might know that I have a VERY SERIOUS phobia of snakes...I mean serious! But to show you how serious, here is one of my quirks: everywhere I walk I look ahead and search for snakes, especially outside in the grass or dirt on hot days. But I even check in the house in rooms before I enter and I check the kids rooms for snakes before bed...I know it is crazy, but I cannot stop myself...Mitch thinks I need to go get hypnotized to cure myself of this phobia...

4. I prefer odd numbers, I set my alarm only to odd numbers like 7:01, not 7:00 or 7:02. I prefer due dates and other things on odd numbers...see 1. (three or five chocolate chips, not four).

5. My whole family has nicknames for each other and we NEVER call each other by our real name Ever!

Pumpkin Carving- Take One!

This was our first pumpkin that we carved for Halloween with Micah!  He loves pumpkins and was so excited!

During Conference Micah built a huge "Temple" with Daddy and Papa!  They used every single block...he was very proud...so was Micah!

THE Bike Ride!!!!

Some of our best friends of all time came to visit us, Chris and Tiffany and their two adorable children!  We had such a blast with them!  Well, Chris talked Mitch in to going on a CRAZY bikeride!  They rode from our house in San Clemente all the way down to downtown San Diego!  Like I said...CRAZY!

Indonesia

Mitchy went on his "dream trip".  He got to go to Indonesia on a surf trip for two weeks!  He went with Derek and Kirk & Chelsea.  They had so much fun!  There were way too many pictures to post so I just put them in a slide show!  

Wish I could have been there, but I was on Baby duty!  Maybe next time!

Introducing Elise & Drew Capener!

While I was "on vacation" from blogging...this happened!  

My adorable, fun and talented sister-in-law found and fell in love with an adorable fun and talented guy!  And they got married!  We love Drew and we are so happy that they found each other!  They are absolutely perfect for each other!  Love you guys...we've been missing you!

It was perfect and magical...the whole day- 

and one of the most amazing sealings I have EVER been to! 

Drew wrote and sang some songs for Elise.  It was so sweet and romantic.  He's amazing, my sister video taped it on her camera and put it on youtube if you want to check it out.

American Babies

Just a few shots from the Fourth of July Party!  We had a blast that day and Jade and Micah loved the fireworks that night too!  (I'm surprised I can even remember that far back!!!)

Mitchy and Micah's new favorite thing is paddle boarding together!  They do it at least a few times a week!  They love to go to the "harbor beach" -that is what Micah calls it!

One of Micah's favorite things ever is to build a fort of pillows around him and his baby sister... I thinks it is one of her favorite things too!  She is obsessed with micah and he can't get enough of her....he calls her his "Jadey Bug"!
